This weekend, we formally say goodbye to Fr. Succès. As you have read in our recent bulletins, he is transferring to Sacred Heart Parish in Roslindale. We appreciate his ministry among us, particularly with the Spanish speaking community. He will be missed. Fr. Succes will have his final weekend Mass at our parish this Sunday, June 3, at 12:45pm after which there will be a reception for him in the school. All are invited to attend. We wish him well in his new assignment and welcome him back to St. Col’s whenever the opportunity may present itself.
Deacon Henry Shea, SJ, will be ordained a priest at Fordham chapel in New York City on Sat, Jun 9. He will be with us through this weekend to help celebrate Mass in thanksgiving for Fr. Succès and his priestly ministry at St. Columbkille’s. Next fall, on the weekend of Sep 15 and 16, “Fr. Henry Shea” will return to St. Columbkille’s to celebrate Mass at 11:15am and 12:45pm, after which we will extend our appreciation to him for his two years with us as a seminarian and deacon. Deacon Henry has been a delight to work with since he has been assigned to St. Col’s. We appreciate his faithfulness and commitment to his vocation. He also will be missed.
Este fin de semana, nos despedimos formalmente de Fr. Succès. Como lo ha leído en nuestros boletines recientes, se está transfiriendo a la Parroquia Sagrado Corazón en Roslindale.
