New Deacons

On Sat, Sep 2, at Saint Ignatius Church in Newton, Jesuit Seminarians who will be entering their last year of Seminary formation will be ordained Transitional Deacons with the prospect of being ordained Priests sometime next Spring or Summer. Two of the new deacons will be assigned on a limited basis at Saint Columbkille Parish.

Two of the new deacons will be assigned on a limited basis at Saint Columbkille Parish.

Henry Shea, who was with us last year as a seminarian working with our Hispanic community and helping with our parish RCIA Program, will be with us ministering in various ways at both our English speaking Masses along with our Spanish Mass. He will be with us through next May. Henry is originally from Minnesota.

Also ministering as a Deacon will be Nico Lariosa. Nico is from Australia and will be with us through December when he will return to Australia in order to complete his Jesuit formation. We look forward to both men being with us as they continue on their journey to Priesthood as Jesuits.
